What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have the calendar embedded on my homepage. It shows the different months and it currently defaults to the first month of the year. I wish there were a way to have it so that it focused on the month and day that my player's characters are on in-game. In the very least, have it showing the current month.How does this feature request address the current situation?
Adding a "display current month/highlight current day" button, or somehow clicking on the current month/day would in theory resolve this. I'm not a programmer so I'm not sure exactly how to implement.What are other uses for this feature request?
It helps to keep players organized and aware of the in-game date. My calendar is full of holidays / memorials / events , so knowing what day it is and what's coming up in the immediate future is useful for my player's to integrate these events into their character's plans.The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! However, we have to decline it because this is out of scope for a calendar. Calendars are a representation of a year, not an agenda of what people are doing in the world. The feature meant to track events is Timelines, and you can definitely use a Timeline to track what your players have been doing! That said, in case you're not aware, there's currently a way to display and edit the current world date (click here for details) and we're planning to make it easier to edit. Campaign-specific current dates are also planned in a future update!
