UI/UX -Bug-Fix
As a WorldAnvil Grandmaster world builder,
I want: the ability to easily remove a previously selected Image Gallery, from Sections > Footer Sections > Related Image Gallery, via a remove button, a blank field or 'Leave Blank' in the drop down menu or other method.
So that: I do not have to struggle to remove an existing gallery by manually removing it and then click in another field to ensure the autosave section functions correctly.
I will know this story is complete when: I can quickly set the Image Gallery selection from Sections > Footer Sections > Related Image Gallery, to blank without having to struggle to set it to blank and then click in another field.
Notes, the current method to reset the image gallery to blank is not intuitive at all, I had to log on to Discord to ask for help. I should be able to simply delete the listed image gallery and leave it blank or there should be a 'Leave Blank' selection or a button to delete image gallery and leave the field blank.
Follow up
Hard to know what is a bug and what is a feature sometimes. I did click the x and it was not obvious I had to do something else to initiate the autosave. This is clearly an unclear / undocumented UX issue that needs a solution. Personally I would like to see the return of the Save Button.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! This, however, is a bug rather than a feature: the autosave should be look at the image gallery drop-down too but isn't (you'll notice that clicking the little x does remove the gallery from the dropdown, but the autosave doesn't trigger unless you do something else). In the future, please report bugs in the bug tracker instead as they will catch our attention much earlier:
