What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

  I really like the new folders that have been introduced for images, timelines and events and I am busily going through and creating structures that organise these entities more effectively. I have noticed how in the image manager we have the ability to view items not only by ascending and descending title but by size which is obviously a very useful thing to do. It made me think of at least one very useful additional sorting criteria for events, which would be to view them in temporal order within a folder, in the same way that a timeline would sort them. Even in my era level subfolders I have quite a lot of events that are sometimes assigned to multiple location specific timelines. Alphabetical order is OK but date order is much more interested for these folders. Could we have an option to view events in a folder sorted this way, just like the images folders offer sorts useful for images?  

How does this feature request address the current situation?

  It would build further on what is already a great improvement to managing events and allow the folder view to more closely mirror a timeline view when desired.  

What are other uses for this feature request?

  There may be other useful sorting options within folders which I haven't thought of, but this is the most obvious one to me based on my current needs.
