UI Generic-article Suggestion Option
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, if you have a generic article, such as one you are using for houserules or (in my case) game development purposes, generic articles have this tendency to become massive walls of text with formatting tags throughout, and it becomes a headache to edit.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
The idea here is to make it so I can add additional Prompt's and Connections to an article, which is to say, just add another box. Make it so you can give the text box a custom title (like how this text box says "Description") then I can add text to the box underneath, and it would be treated like a prompt or suggestion box. This allows me to break up my rules into seprate text boxes in editing, so its less of a scroll fest to fix things or add new things.
What are other uses for this feature request?
This would also allow for wholly customizable articles, instead of using prompts and connections provided by the suggested articles (which are still really handy) you would be able to just build your own template from the ground up if you need some wierdly hyper-specific article that does not fit properly in any of the other categories.
Follow up
On the subject of line breaks and interlinked articles, in my case, a player does not want to have to go to six different wiki pages for what are effectively the same rules. Combat rules, and then Combat Rules Continued, give them one page to read.
And line breaks are part of the problem, scrolling endlessly through my line breaks, formatting between lines, and so on, just so I can get to line 237 and find the spot where I saw the missing comma, is part of my reason for this request. I do appreciate the quatloos.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! This is planned for an update that will happen very far into the future. Don't expect it any time soon, but we're accepting it because it's in our list.
