Timeline Customisation
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
While the new timelines are rather solid, and allow for a ton of customisation that didn't exist before, there is one key issue I have encountered (which is specific to timescale mode).
In this example, we can see how a historical entry 'grouping' forms a solid box, with the number of events inside. However, there is no current way to customise this box, meaning it can quickly feel out of place, especially in the above example, where the events in question are quarantine orders to deal with a plague. Rather than the black I have used to highlight this plague, we are instead forced to deal with the era's default light blue.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
I propose adding the same customisation available to any historical entry, namely a way to measure importance, and to change colour. In addition, the ability to add a short description or title to the grouping would be hugely beneficial.
The same ui style can be used from historical entries.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll add a class to that type of element that you'll be able to use as a CSS selector to modify it in any way you want!
