IN-WORLD FEATURE/CONTENT PRIORITY UPVOTE TABLES FOR CREATORS

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I figured I would list this under interactive tables, since that might be a way to integrate this. However, I will say that as a creator and writer, I have a limited amount of time. I mostly do short-form writing, and have plenty of different ideas. I would love to be able to lobby these ideas at my audience, and have them upvote them to create a priority list. This will help me allocate my time to what is most popular and anticipated. I tried to find some way to do this with WorldAnvil's current infrastructure, but even discussion boards lacks a "Like" (and therefore sort by likes) feature.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Similar to this voting board right here, it would allow all creators to be able to take their To-Do List and make it interactive for audience engagement. Instead of having decision paralysis on what to next, inhibiting creative flow, your audience can decide.

What are other uses for this feature request?

It would be able to be used by writer, game-makers, and (to some extent, I'm not in the hobby) I think DnD campaign organizers. The only ones I think this feature would not benefit is worldbuilding soloists.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! We're closing this for lack of support; we think this "write by demand" workflow is pretty niche, so we'd need to see high levels of support.

I don't think something as strongly helpful to workflow as this should be paywalled off, unless it requires an immense amount of backend infrastructure and maintenance to run.

A voting/polling mechanism could be cool, but there are simple alternatives already. The most direct version is self-assignable subscriber groups, available at GM+. Those below GM could also make stubs and ask people to 'like' the ones they most want expanded, or make an article/community post requesting input from commenters.
