(The chapter opens with the Alejandro at the border)
Alejandro: (walks up to a group of legionaries) damage report.
Legionary: we had 19 guardian class casualties,10 knight class and 2 master class. with many more injured or in critical condition, including the royal knights of the 10th and 16th (it shows both unconscious with medical staff around them)
Alejandro: what about Egran's forces?
another legionary: we are still confirming the report. but from what we can tell, there is no shortage of loss.
Alejandro: As I feared. I had hoped to avoid such a thing. I only wish that this war will end before any more losses fall onto either side. where is the closest village?
Legionary: not far from here.
Alejandro: take all injured men to the town and set up a temporary medical center there. the rest of us will begin the journey to the capital. I expect more of Egran's forces will not make the journey an easy one. Send a messenger to our forces waiting in Sedanss, this war is far from over.
Legionaries: yes sir! (they salute and walk off)
Alejandro: (thinking) Was that thing really magnus? If it was then that man, may have been correct about this war not appearing to be what it looked. (a buggy with a legionary driving and one sitting in the passenger seat drives up)
Legionary: ready sir?
Alejandro: (steps onto the back of the buggy) give the signal. lets move out. (the legionary in the passenger raises a flag and they start moving forward as it cuts over to the docks where Reinier is sitting with his glasses on and his cape white again talking with Sora and Andreia and Kristoff)
Reinier: whatever those things were they were not human. at least not anymore.
Andreia: so what were they?
Sora: from what I can tell they were most likely a djevel.
Andreia: a djevel?
Sora: or Devil in common tongue. nearly unkillable creatures who devoured everything in their path. but those have not been seen in over 300 years.
Kristoff: so what are you saying, those devils were just hiding for 300 years?
Reinier: no, those things fought on pure instinct, theirs's no way something like that would go unnoticed for 300 years. could they have been created somehow?
Sora: I don't know, I've only heard stories of those kinds of things.
Andreia: whatever the case is, there gone now. so lets worry about the task at hand.
Sora: right, Andreia and the 6th will come with me to the capitol, we'll leave you and the 24th to take care of the injured, and the prisoners.
Reinier: sounds like a good idea. we'll join you as soon as we can.
Andreia: I'll also leave Kristoff here with you for some extra protection. those devils may not be the only threats around here, and with your condition it would be smart to not use anymore orku.
Reinier: thank you.
Sora: well then, we best be off. give the signal, I'll scout ahead see what I can.
Andreia: yes mam. (it cuts to a panel of sora flying out of the city on dreki and cuts to a couple messengers in a car and they drive into a camp and walk into a tent.
Legionary: Sir, we have broken through the border and are requesting aid.
Royal knight: prepare the troops (it cuts to machi and Sam who is healing him)
Sam: those assassins could be back any minute.( finishes applying the bandages to his side) We need to get you out of here. your in no condition to fight.
Machi: You are though, and I'm sure Tenebris and the others will need your help. you should go without me.
Sam: There's no way I'm leaving you in this condition, you can barely stand.
Machi: I can make it on my own just go.
Sam: (she stands up and shorter than machi sitting) Even though we only met a little while ago, I consider you one of my friends. (machi surprised) And I'm not going to leave my friends behind. (her eyes light up faintly blue)
Machi: (acknowledges her) (Sam and Alex help machi stand. slowly and painfully he starts walking down the hall with Alex and Sam on either side)
CHAPTER 86 AFTERMATH
(the chapter opens with the gang in the throne room)
Raxis: Welcome Ar...(tenebris eyes start glowing and he disappears and reappears next to Raxis throne and throws a massive punch that blows up the throne in a cloud of dust)
(Raxis appears behind Arthor standing nonchalantly as his eyes glowing dark blue. Arthor swings at him and he dodges and hits him back as he rolls he sends a bolt of energy at Raxis who disappears into smoke as it hits him)
(Raxis appears in the corner of the room with his eyes glowing dark blue and lykoi shoots an arrow at him but it cuts cut in half by Barron who calmly sheaths his sword)
Karri: Arthor look out! (karri dashes and pushes arthor out of the way as a black blade comes out of nowhere and heads straight for Raxis who catches the pitch black blade and his cape and hair turn pitch black.)
(lykoi, arthor, tenebris and karri stand facing Raxis and Barron)
Raxis: well that was rude. I have just met your friends Karri and their already trying to kill me? acting like a true assassin. you do know what you are attempting is regicide? what will the people of Egran think of a bunch of outsiders attacking their king who just freed them from a tyrannical rule.
Arthor: Cut the bullshit! Why are you doing all this, was ruling the underworld not enough for you!? (his eyes glow red)
Raxis: I don't believe a child such as yourself would understand my motives nor do I think you would care to know.
Arthor: So you call me a child, yet you were the one, who turned us into weapons...into assassins. you admit we were just kids when you took our lives from us and locked us in the dark!
Raxis: you make me sound like the villain, and yet here you are trying to take revenge. I gave you everything. I took you in when no one else would. without me you would be nothing! you would be an urchin on the street begging for your next meal. I saved you! I made you stronger. I gave your sad pathetic lives a purpose and this is the thanks I get! (his eyes glow black)
Arthor: AGHHH! (Arthor's eyes blaze red and green as he dashes at Raxis)
Karri: Arthor wait! (Arthor locks blades with Raxis who is smiling as he sends arthor back and they start clashing blades until tenebris appears and swings at Raxis who dodges back. lykoi shoots another arrow at him, but he catches it and throws it back at him but karri pushes lykoi out of the way.)
Raxis: Honestly arthor I'm disappointed, not only have you come back to me without awakening a gift, but relying on these weaklings to fight for you? its laughable that I thought you had potential.
Arthor: you think I give a damn what you say! I don't care how I take you down, as long as I watch you suffer for everything you've done. (Arthor's eyes blaze a violent green)
Raxis: we'll I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I think it's time you wake up to reality. you could never defeat me.
Arthor: why's that?
because..(Raxis puts his hand on his head and black flames rise from his hand as he pulls his hand down his face and a black mask appears on his face and dark energy explodes from him and fills the room, the energy destroys the windows in the throne room. the energy recedes and Raxis stands with one eye black) I'm the strongest man in all the 6 kingdoms.
Karri: It doesn't matter, how strong you are. we will defeat you...together. (karri's eyes glow with lightning sparking)
(Arthor looks over at karri and looks back at Raxis and his eyes glow yellow)
Raxis: then you will fall together. (tenebris and Karri dash at either side of Raxis whose eyes light up light blue. they try to punch him but catches both fists.) Barron, Find Valka and get preparations underway for the final phase. I'll deal with these traitors myself.
Barron: (Nods and Raxis eyes glow dark blue as Barron disappears into black smoke)
(Arthor dashes in and tries to kick Raxis whose eyes glow dark blue and he disappears into smoke and reappears next to lykoi and goes to stab him, but ulfer jumps on him and bites him. Lykoi turns around and pulls out a dagger but Raxis throws ulfer at him and they both get sent back. Tenebris spirits appear next to Raxis and grab his arms as karri's eyes light up and he throws a dagger with lightning coming off it at Raxis who pulls his arm up and the dagger hits tenebris spirit and makes it let go of Raxis arm who drops the black blade and it flies to his other hand and he slashes both spirits and they dissipate as tenebris appears and starts fighting hand to sword up close, dodging Raxis slashes and throwing punches until he kicks Raxis who blocks but gets sent back a bit. Raxis puts his hands on the ground and cracks form with fire springing up from them as his eyes glow red. everyone dodges the pillars of fire but it surrounds tenebris. Raxis eyes glow dark blue as he disappears into smoke and reappears behind karri and slashes at him. karri's eyes spark with lightning as he blocks him but gets overpowered and sent flying back. Arthor jumps at Raxis whose eyes glow light blue and he catches arthor and slams him into the ground. lykoi shoots several arrows, but Raxis eyes glow dark pink as a wall of black vines burst up from the ground and block Lykoi's arrows and rushes towards him. ulfer jumps in the way to tries to block it, vines are too fast and it sends both him and lykoi into the wall and it destroys Lykoi's bow as they both fall unconscious. Arthor's eyes glow and he shoots energy blasts at Raxis whose eyes glow bright red and he absorbs them and sends it right back at arthor who goes flying back on the ground.)
Raxis: All this time I gad begun to think I would never get to see you two together again. but here you are. poetic isn't it? (karri gets up and grabs a dagger and rushes at Raxis whose eyes glow light blue and he catches the blade in his hand and shatters it as punches karri in the face sending him to the ground)
(Tenebris eyes glow and he dashes out of the fire at Raxis and punches him in the face and sends him flying back landing on the ground knocked out)
Tenebris: it's over!
Raxis: Exactly what I was thinking.
Karri: Tenebris!
Tenebris: (looks down and sees the black blade stabbed through his chest.) (it cuts over to Machi Sam and Alex walking towards the front gate, Alex disappears and machi stumbles but Sam catches him)
Machi: that cant be a good sign.
(cut back to the throne room and Tenebris eyes glow light blue and he tries to elbow Raxis who takes the sword out and jumps back. Tenebris falls to his knees and looks over at the other Raxis on the ground and sees him wilting into black vines and dark energy)
Tenebris: h..how?
Raxis: This is a blade made of pure , what the legions call the dark energy. The dark energy absorbs orku. this allows me to absorb a persons orku, and use their gifts anyway I want. (he squats down next to tenebris) As I told you, I am the strongest man in the six kingdoms. you had no chance.
CHAPTER 87 THE KING IN BLACK
Karri and Arthor: (Eyes Glow violently blue) TENEBRIS!! (Karri tries to brake out of the vines but more grow around him as lightning starts getting absorbed into the vines. )
Arthor: I'll KILL YOU! (red and blue and green energy starts swirling around him and his eyes blaze like fire as he stands up. )
Raxis: (smiles sinisterly) Perfect.
(arthor dashes at him with insane speed, Raxis eyes glow light blue and he side steps as arthor goes flying into the wall completely destroying it. Arthor stands up with energy swirling around him he jumps with massive force up to the ceiling and jumps off the ceiling down towards Raxis whose eyes glow light blue then dark blue as he disappears. Arthor lands and the floor cracks and red energy burst around him. Raxis reappears behind him)
Raxis: do you really think..(arthor turns around and shoots a massive blast of energy but Raxis eyes turn light blue and he grabs Arthors arms and pushes them up and punchest arthor in the stomach. the blast shoots through the ceiling. ) ...even if you've awakened your powers....(Arthor tries to spin kick Raxis but his eyes turn red and he blocks it and kicks him back, arthor lands on his feet)
Raxis: (appears in front of arthor out of shadow) That you could beat me? (Stabs Arthor in the shoulder and pins him to the wall)
Arthor: AGHH!
Tenebris: Arthor...(he tries to get up but he coughs up blood)
Karri: (he struggles more as the vines get tighter)
Raxis: Finally, After all this time, decades of searching and setbacks, the perfect vessals are in my hands!
Arthor: what..what..are you..talking about.
Raxis: Come on think Arthor! Didn't you ever wonder why, out of everyone in the Kongur, I focused on developing some worthless children's gifts?
Arthor: (coughing) You..chose us...to be your successors.
Raxis: Successors? (he starts laughing) you honestly believed that? some street urchins, as my successors!? (Raxis Twists the blade)
Arthor: AgHH!
Karri: Stop it! (vines brake and he tries to run to arthor but gets stopped by vines and held down)
Raxis: You are Sacrifices.
Arthor: sa..sacrifices..?
Raxis: To brake the seal of Jericho. I require the same power that was used to make that seal. the power of the first immortals. you and karri are the last pieces I need. (Arthor passes out. Raxis eyes glow dark pink as black vines grow from the wall and hold arthor in place) All I needed was you to awaken your power, (he walks over to tenebris) So I suppose a thanks is in order. (he holds his hand out and the blade dislodges from Arthors shoulder and flies over to Raxis hand and he squats down next to tenebris) So thank you. (tenebris looks up at him and his eyes glow as he grabs his jacket. Raxis stabs tenebris again and Tenebris eye's stop glowing and he lets go of Raxis jacket and his hand falls lifeless)
Karri: (with tears streaming down his face) NOOO! ( blue energy sparking like lightning off of him)
Raxis: (thinking) Strange, this man. he holds chaos within him, and yet I couldn't sense it. nor could I sense his gift. Something is hiding his true power. (aloud) well, I have a seal to brake, a war to finish and a world to conquer, we should better get going. (he gets up and starts to walk away from tenebris body. As he does he pulses and almost falls to the ground.) Aghhhn what the hell...what is happening to me?...(the vines wilt around arthor and he drops to the ground. the vines around Karri snap from the lightning and he falls down close to tenebris. he crawls over and sits on his knees beside him)
Karri: It's all my fault. I'm so sorry...tenebris. (karri grabs his bandaged hand)
(Tenebris ring on his hand glows)
(in karri's head)
ethereal Woman's voice: the bandages...remove them.
Karri: (aloud) what?
ethereal Woman's voice: quickly! you can still save him!
Karri: (still crying starts franticly unwrapping the bandages)
Raxis: (looks back and sees karri unwrapping the bandages and painfully says) what are y...you doing!? (he tries to get up but he stumbles) stop it!
Karri: (gets done unwrapping the bandages and he sees the dark energy. ) Come back tenebris! (he grabs the Choas with both hands and energy starts draining from karri and the dark energy spreads all over tenebris body.
Raxis: NOOOO! (he runs over to try and stop karri but gets launched back by a massive burst of dark energy that makes the room pitch black. (Tenebris hair turns black and his stomach and chest heal completely as his eyes turn completely black with his iris's staying teal the sky outside darkens and the guards and villagers outside the castle look up confused. cut back to the throne room and karri's eyes glow black and he passes out and falls down beside tenebris)
Raxis: what...what did you just do! (he gets up and holds his sword out)
Tenebris: (sits up. his head falls back and looks at Raxis)
Raxis: what? how are you... (Raxis eyes glow light blue and he puts his hands up and Tenebris appears in front of him and punches him, sends him flying back and slams into the wall) What is going on. He died. I watched him die!
Tenebris: (looks up and his rings on his necklace crack. His eyes glowing light blue and black)
(Tenebris roars and an immense amount of dark energy radiates from him. it cuts to Barron and Valka, then to the assassins, then to Sam and machi, then to Keira and rekinn they all look terrified as they sense the dark energy)
Raxis: what kind of a monster are you.
CHAPTER 88 UNSPEAKABLE EVIL
(The chapter opens with tenebris walking in a forest Everything in greyscale/ black and white except for his eyes that are teal like normal. )
Tenebris: how did I get here? I cant remember...I feel like I was just somewhere else... was I dreaming again. (tenebris hair is shorter and he has no bandages or rings) I don't recognize this place. am I on Tempura...or on a mission? why cant I remember.....
(he comes to a clearing and he sees a person sitting on a cliff overlooking a dark ocean. he walks over)
Tenebris: Excuse me do you know where we are? or how I got here, I cant seem to remember...
Woman: Took you long enough. (the woman looks back and tenebris sees a younger woman with white hair teal eyes and circle glasses)
Tenebris: I'm sorry do I know you?
Woman: (looks almost hurt, but then she smiles) maybe in a past life.
Tenebris: huh?
Woman: Care to join me?
Tenebris: (sits down next to the woman on the cliff. they look out over the water. they sit in silence for a moment) Can I ask you what your doing in a place like this?
Woman: I could ask you the same thing.
Tenebris: That's fair. well this might sound crazy but I don't remember what this place is or how I got here.
Woman: that does sound crazy.
Tenebris: (they look out over the water and see a storm in the distance)
Woman: it's beautiful isn't it?
Tenebris: what is?
Woman: the storm. feeling the rumble of the thunder in your chest. seeing the brilliant flashes of lighting. hearing the waves crash.
Tenebris: (looks at her and she has her eyes closed and the wind flows through her hair. ) I guess your right.
Woman: when your right in the middle of it, you feel like something bad could happen at any moment. that one wrong move and you could fall into the violent waters and never come back to the surface. it's not until you look back on the other side, you see the beauty of it all.
Tenebris: hm. I never thought of it like that.
Woman: not only that. but you become stronger.
Tenebris: how so?
Woman: Life threw everything at you and you came out the other side. there's nothing more beautiful that that.
Tenebris: you know an old friend of mine, loved storms too.
Woman: yeah?
Tenebris: she would sit and stare out the window for hours, watching the rain fall. I never really understood why, but when I saw her looking out the window I couldn't help be feel like she knew something the rest of the world didn't. no matter what was happening, when she looked out at the rain everything else just faded away...
Woman: ...it gave her peace.
Tenebris: (looks over and she's smiling as she looks up at the dark sky) I always wished I could be like that. (he looks at his hands)
Woman: (notices him looking down almost sad) what was her name?
Tenebris: (he looks concerned)...I...I cant remember....(tenebris puts his face in his hands.) why cant I remember? ( it starts raining softly)
Woman: (puts her hand out. Tenebris looks over and she's standing with her hand out. ) lets get out of the rain shall we? (she smiles. he grabs her hand and she helps him stand and they start walking through the forest and the rain gets heavier and they start running and find a small cabin in the woods, they close the door behind them. soaking wet)
Both "hough" (they slide down the door and sit on the ground, and both start laughing)
Tenebris: I've missed this.
Woman: what, getting caught in the rain?
Tenebris: No, just how peaceful this all is. I mean, I've gone through so much recently and It feels like I haven't gotten a moment to myself like this in months.
Woman: If you don't mind me asking, what have you been doing?
Tenebris: (smile starts to fade) I cant remember...
Woman: (her smile fades too)
Tenebris: but whatever it was...I guess it really doesn't matter now.
(its silent for a moment)
Tenebris: I never got your name by the way.
Woman: (she laughs and smiles) Nikki....
Tenebris: Nikki...
Nikki: huh, what's wrong?
Tenebris: no... it's Nothing...why do you ask?
Nikki: it's just that, your crying.
(Tenebris looks at her shocked with tears streaming down his face)
CHAPTER 89 MEMORIES OF A MEMORY
(Raxis Stares at Tenebriswith his sword drawn )
Raxis: (his eye's glow light blue and he swings his sword to the side of him and tenebris appears and dodges the slash and tries to stab Raxis with his hand but his eyes glow dark blue and he disappears into smoke and reappears behind tenebris and swings at him but tenebris disappears as Raxis eyes glow light blue and he looks back to see tenebris throwing a massive punch, but Raxis disappears into smoke and reappears acrost the room. His eyes glow light blue again and he looks up and tenebris is already on top of him and slams down onto Raxis who blocks it but the impact cracks the floor around them and sends everyone falling through the floor. it shows a sequence of panels of arthor, karri, lykoi and ulfer falling with rubble around them, but they disappear. Raxis is falling and his eyes flash light blue again as he sees tenebris flying towards him. Raxis eyes glow dark pink and several black vines shoot out from his back and grab pieces of ruble and he slam them together on top of tenebris who appears in front of Raxis and punches him and sends him flying into the ground and he slams into it and slides back onto his knee and looks up with his eyes glowing light blue to see pieces of rubble flying at him he dodges most of them and slices the last one in half and sees tenebris behind it as he stabs at Raxis with his hand. Raxis dodges but tenebris slices his shoulder as Raxis jumps back his eyes glow black and his shoulder regenerates. the fighting continues with Raxis barely keeping up with the speed at which tenebris is moving. )
Raxis: (thinking) Even though he's been corrupted. his battle instincts remain. He couldn't land a clean hit while I could teleport, So he destroyed the ground and my terrain along with it. luckily I still have my foresight, I can still see what he's going to do even if I cant fully react to it. ( Raxis eye's glow light blue and he swings in front of him and tenebris appears and gets slashes by the sword and sent flying down into the ground) (aloud) Don't you forget who your fighting! (Raxis Eye's glow bright red with black flames and he shoots a massive phoenix like blast of black and red fire down at tenebris. as it hits the ground it explodes out covering the room in fire.) I am the The king in black! I control the chaos! ( he swings his sword down at tenebris who is on the ground regenerating from the fire and tenebris catches the blade with a burst of wind that puts out the fire near them)
Corrupted tenebris: thgt..powgr...dos nt...belhog..to yoh...(his eyes glow light blue as he stabs raxis through the stomach with his hand. Raxis pulses)
Raxis: (coughs up black ichor and jumps away from tenebris and the sword. Raxis eyes glow black as he regenerates) what the hell did you just do!
Tenebris: (throws the sword down. then dashes at Raxis as it cuts over to the front of the castle where villagers and guards are running away from the castle. Sam, helps Machi walk past the crowd into a more quiet place, they see lykoi and ulfer trying to help Arthor with his shoulder and karri next to him passed out)
Sam: Arthor! Lykoi what happened in there?
Lykoi: the king, the dark energy. too strong.
Machi: where's tenebris?
Lykoi: I don't know. we fought the king together, next moment we end up here.
Sam: He must still be fighting Raxis.
Machi: if that Raxis guy is the source of the dark feeling earlier than tenebris needs help.
Sam: I agree, but we cant leave them here like this. (she looks over at karri and she see black energy like vines on his arms)
Machi: what's wrong with him.
Sam: I don't know. I cant sense any orku from him. (she puts her head to his chest) he's still breathing though. lets get them out of here.
Machi: how are we going to move them, I can barely walk, and I don't think this guys in any condition to carry that weight. no offense.
Sam: maybe not now. (she takes out her sword and her eyes and the blade start glowing around them) there, now they should be a little easier to carry.
Machi: what did you just do?
Sam: I made everything inside my terrain weightless. (she grabs arthor and hoist him over her shoulder gently) lykoi, you take karri.
Lykoi: right.
Machi: what cant you do?
(it cuts back to Tenebris and Raxis. Tenebris dashes at Raxis and disappears. Raxis tries to look around but his eyes don't glow and tenebris appears to the side of him and punches him in the face and sends him flying, Raxis flips and lands on his feet and slides back with his eyes glowing black as his jaw snaps back into place. Tenebris appears and uppercuts him sending him in the air, he catches Raxis leg and slams him down and creates a crater around him. Raxis eyes roll back in his head but they snap back and fire bursts out around him and he kicks tenebris off of him and summons the blade to his hand and his eyes glow yellow as he sends several slashes of energy that tenebris dodges. Raxis throws his chaos blade and tenebris dodges and they start fighting hand to hand for a short time until tenebris hits Raxis back and his mask brakes and he looses half of it. )
Raxis: AGHHH, DONT FORGET WHO YOUR FIGHTING! (his eyes glow lots of colors and a massive multi coloured pillar of fire and dark energy engulfs the area and destroys the castle. it cuts over to Sam carrying arthor, lykoi carrying karri and Machi walking leaning against the buildings and they see the massive pillar of energy. then it cuts to Keira and Rekinn running through the town together and they see the massive pillar of energy. )
Rekinn: the castle!
(it cuts over to barron and valka with the other assassins walking down a road and they see the pillar of energy)
Valka: Raxis...
(it cuts back to Raxis standing in the middle releasing a massive amount of energy, and tenebris walks towards him slowly regenerating as he gets burned. )
Raxis: What the hell are you! (tenebris grabs Raxis throat and the energy stops. Raxis holds out his hand and the chaos blade soars towards tenebris. Tenebris drops Raxis to his knees and catches the blade and raises it above his head and goes to bring the blade down but a glowing light blue hand touches his shoulder and he hears the same voice karri did and stops the blade short of Raxis face)
Ethereal Woman: that's enough...Tenebris. (Rain starts falling on them)
(Tenebris looks up and his eyes turn from black to white and teal and he drops the blade and Raxis)
Raxis: (almost broken on the ground, coughing)
Tenebris: (passes out)
Raxis: aghh. I don't know what happened just now...but I don't care....(he grabs the chaos blade and stumbles over to tenebris and raises the blade.)...This is my glorious victory. (he goes to stab him but he pulses and stumbles back, and falls to his knees next to tenebris and drops the blade)
Raxis: No...Not...now..(passes out next to tenebris)
